Brian Bosworth?
Can you see Manziel and Dez Bryant on the same team? No way....
I knew I was living in cloud-cuckoo land when Jimmy Johnson and the other ‘experts’ picked the Redskins to beat the Packers. The NFC East couldn’t whip a college team this year and DC could have finished at the bottom of that division as easily as not. They had no business being in the playoffs.
For Texan Fans, the big question is how much will the team be willing spend on a new Quarterback or two.
$41 million just to toss a ball around. Our priorities are so upside down it’s no wonder we’re in such a bad shape.
The Rams were the recipient of those picks, and we still did worse having the #1 overall pick slightly earlier, before the reform of rookie contracts in the salary cap era. We paid Sam Bradford MUCH more money and don’t even have one playoff appearence to show for it. Like the ‘skins, we still need a QB . . . and a wide receiver . . . and a tight end.
odd wildcard weekend each favored team lost
Hands down, it’s Ryan Leaf.
RG3’s game was built around mobility. He suffered a knee injury, then was pressured to play before surgery, and really tore it up. Now he’s got the mobility of a park statue. He’s done.
I don’t blame RG3, who by all accounts is a decent guy. I think he got screwed by a bad organization.
He be no JaMarcus Ru$$ell . ..
Whooping or whopping?
Whooping sounds like they are making a little “redskin” puns.
Should have been called “Gift Weekend.”
The Redskins and the Texans were a gift to whoever drew them in the first round, and the Steelers and Seahawks were losers who were gifted wins. End result the NFL got the winners they wanted.
The real playoffs begin this weekend.
GO CHIEFS!!!!!
Not even close to the worst ever. He did take them to the playoffs once.
And then there’s Ryan Lief....
If he leaves, the Redskins may well live to regret it.
I always wonder on these players that teams mortgage their future to get how much better they would have been on a team that’s not stupid. No player is worth 6 picks, and with those extra picks they could have gotten him somebody to throw to, and improved the line, and improved the defense. It’s hard to be a good QB on a team that’s clearly missing pieces.
Interestingly, I think Robert Griffin III would actually thrive with the Cowboys. He’s actually a pretty smart player and now with a really effective offensive line to protect him, RG III will finally be able to learn to be a decent quarterback for a change.
Jerry Jones, should no way in hell sign either RG III, or Johnny Manziel.
RG3 I'd consider more of an injury bust that wasn't all his fault. At least he took a team to the playoffs.
I'm a Spartan, so I'm glad to see Kirk Cousins take the next step. I'm surprised he lasted to the 4th round.
