Roy Orbison, one of the great ones.
What a unique voice he had.
He died way too young.

“Although it is an Orbison solo single, Orbison’s fellow Traveling Wilburys bandmates, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, co-wrote the song and played instruments on the record.”

I recall once reading that Elvis thought Roy Orbison had the best voice of any singer of his era.
In the movie “Blue Velvet”, his “In Dreams” absolutely was disturbing. Not really the song but it’s juxtaposition in the movie.

Blue Velvet was disturbing...and In Dreams added to the mix.
Loved it.
Classical mix of good against a backdrop of evil.

I remember seeing the music video as a young child, must have been in ‘89. It’s the first song I remember hearing and still one of my favorites.
What an incredible voice he had. If you’ve never heard it, try listening to “After the love has gone,” which I think was released posthumously in ‘92. Wish that we had more like him today.

Love Roy Orbison! I always loved soft rock, anyway! He had it!

Why thank you RR - Roy Orbison is a voice that will never fade. He and Elvis were true home grown men. Sending right back to you one he did ...and this is for all those GOPelites out there who soon will be searching for something or someone when they see how badly they will lose.
