Uuhhhh...no - let's keep the clickbait over on Facebook. The story is inaccessible without wading thru layers of pop-ups, pop-unders, an air of Weekly World News coverage, and general technical trash. In addition, this sort of thing is impossible to verify, assuming you arrive at the "story" in the first place.
"You'll never believe what happens next..."
"Watch Beyonce's hilarious response..."
Such crap used to be limited to publications like People Magazine, aimed at the low intelligence crowd.
Now it's appearing everywhere...even in the MSM. What has happened to America?
(WARNING! Do not go to that site to get "the rest of the story" unless you want to pick up a nasty computer virus / malware!)

While patriotupdate.com came up "clean" it is loaded with pop-ups and frankly a lot of crap.
Over Christmas, my niece told me about an article she came across that a friend of hers had posted to her FB page about a man who had been stranded on a deserted island for 9 years (sort of like the movie Castaway only supposedly true) until a little boy in Minnesota saw the SOS the castaway made on the beach via Google Earth, notified unspecified "authorities" and the castaway was finally rescued.
Heartwarming and amazing tale to be sure, but completely made up.

My niece had shared the false story on her FB page but took it down when I and others pointed out it was false.
I think there was a similar thread about this same Patriot Update yesterday and it was pulled for some reason. Anyone know why?
However, discounts do happen. Years ago I was traveling in uniform and ate breakfast at the train terminal in Cleveland. When I took my bill to the cashier, I found that the waitress had written on it, "GI Special. $1.00." That was a lot less than the price on the menu. I appreciated the kindness.
