By now, everyone has probably heard about El Nino and the effects of this weather pattern across the Western Hemisphere. Some are predicting this El Nino to be the biggest ever, naming it the "Godzilla El Nino." But step aside, Godzilla: Another monster weather anomaly has been wreaking havoc with the West Coast. Beware of "the Blob."

Nowadays every time two clouds bump together and make a lightning bolt the weather psychos name it, even snow storms now all get named....it’s asinine.
Polar Vortex, Godzilla El Nino, the Blob. Are we watching the weather report on the news or going to a horror movie? I guess these days they are the same thing. Gotta get those ratings up!!

I remember when the EL NINO name became popular among weather forecasters.
An early snow storm hit Kansas and Nebraska. Seven hundred miles away our weather chick stood out in the dark parking lot and said...”The question that is on everyone’s mind,” (then she looks straight into the camera with a look of terror on her face) “IS THIS EL NINO?”
I wanted to throw a boot through the TV.
Weather goes Hollywood.
Take away their funding since computers can now do their jobs. Save millions and get rid of the loonies in one fell swoop.
So what is this horrible threat the headline warns of...
“The first effect has been warming temperatures in the Pacific Northwest.”
PANIC! RUN! DANGER!
