A new version of a still-to-be-properly-understood stellar object, it would appear.

Any time an object seems to be manipulated by another object that can’t be seen, it’s a black hole. Too bad the math shows that black holes cannot exist.

The idea of a “black hole” was first proposed by John Mitchell in 1783. He hypothesized that there might exist massive bodies so big that their “escape velocity” would be greater than the velocity of light. This is the original source of the mistake.
The mistake is this: yes, a stone thrown up from such a body could never escape: it would lose energy by losing velocity (E = 1/2 mv^2), and hence surely be brought to rest and pulled back down. But light cannot lose velocity; rather it loses energy by becoming redder (E = h nu).
If you do the math, you will discover that a light ray emitted from a massive body, no matter how massive, can never be red shifted into extinction. I have the math on my home machine; I’ll bring it in and post it.

I am soooo glad this didn't have anything to do with Moochelle.
Is that wrong?

Black holes exist. The famous mathematician and engineer Laplace was the first person to consider the existence of black holes. He was correct and you are wrong. Scientists have found hundreds of black holes.
To: John Locke
You’re using classical physics to analyze something predicted by relativity. Not even wrong.
