Steely Dan's Donald Fagen was arrested Monday evening after allegedly assaulting his wife inside their NYC home.

According to the criminal complaint 67-year-old Fagen pushed his wife, Libby Titus, into a marble window frame in their Upper East Side pad. Cops say she suffered bruising and swelling to her right arm.

Fagen was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor assault and cited for harassment. He's also been ordered to stay away from Titus, who told the NY Post she's divorcing Fagen.

The Rock Hall of Famer was released without bail.

I’ll reserve judgement for now.
Very much like his music, seen him live twice.

Yeah well, guess i’m a “yacht rock” fan then.

Was listening to this bittersweet tune today while Hussein Obama was placing another banderilla into the bloody, dying bull that was the American Republic:

Oh and BTW. I like yachts.....

I also will try to reserve judgment.

You’re lucky to have seen him live; I envy you.

Smooth hits of the 70’s and a fair amount of one hit wonders. For example, Looking Glass with “Brandy” and other songs you know if you were born pre 1969 or so. Hall and Oates, Christopher Cross, The Piña Colada song, etc.

I always thought it was stopping time. Live and learn.

Would Air Supply qualify? Also Starbuck's "Moonlight Feels Right," which actually describes activities aboard a yacht, IIRC.

As soon as I read the term “Yacht Rock” I thought of Christopher Cross. and those two stupid songs once banished from my head are there again.

Cross hit the mailbox money jackpot with Sailing and Run Like the Wind.

Both horrible songs.

Player, Rob Dupree, Toto, Chris Cross

Steely Dan left them all in the dust.
Not bad for a band named after a metal dildo.

Charlene Oliver's unforgettable "I've Never Been To Me" also describes at least one activity on a yacht.

I can't picture any actual yachtsman playing it on his yacht's eight-track, though.
