Does Apple think everyone is going to run out and buy the newest release every time? My iPhone 4 was over four years old before I finally got the iPhone 6. And that was only because I switched from a GSM carrier to a CDMA carrier, so I had no choice.
Who wants to buy products from a company with a sodomite CEO?
“Drastic Action” ping....
Since that is a growth chart, and the numbers remain positive, even if lower than the peak, it is still excellent compared to other large industries such as airlines and automobiles and other electronics, where the numbers often go below the zero.
Other than services the iPhone is really all they have. It’s obvious to me they have been living on their IOS based cash cow ignoring the fact that IOS has pretty much maxed out. They massive 200billion devaluation reflects what their future holds.
Kind of funny. An investor might well be concerned. But Apple still eats Samsung, LG, Motorola, Google and Sony for lunch with their phone profits.
If Apple's long term future looks like an economic downturn like Japan has been experiencing over the past decade-plus, then Android's future must look like the damned Syrian civil war in comparison.
iPod = 2nd Greatest Product Ever
iPad = 3rd Greatest Product Ever
MacBook Pro = 5th Greatest Product Ever
When I suggested that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sales bump would be temporary months and months ago, I was told I was absolutely insane and had no business sense. I basically posited that iPhone finally caught up with the other phone makers’ big screen designs. After the initial rush of replacements by iPhone users who had to wait and wait for Apple to catch up, the interest would die down.
And it did. Hm.
Here’s another prediction: Samsung will see lower demand, too. Why? They’ve decided to be just like Apple. I decided it was time to upgrade and went to look at the new Samsung phablets. Turns out, they got rid of the removable back/battery and microSD card support. I immediately picked up an LG Vizio instead. I need/want that removable battery. I think the decision to dump that will hurt Samsung.
If Apple wants customers to buy a new phone every year then they had better start pressing the major telecoms hard to offer one-year contracts.
The Apple CEO wants Americans to buy iPhones but insults them by telling Americans they are to lazy and stupid to build them. Good marketing strategy.
