HEB is a Texas-owned supermarket. I don’t like shopping there anyway, but I have been to the Central Market a couple of times in Ft. Worth, and it was really cool.
My hubby does the shopping and he goes to Albertsons. :)
HEB started in Corpus Christi many years ago. HEB stands for Howard Edward Butt. Charles daddy. They lived on Ocean Drive in Corpus. 20 + years ago they moved their headquarters to San Antonio. I will never step foot in the store(s) again.
No, that was an old joke back when I was a kid. The joke was that HEB was going to buy Piggly Wiggly and name it Wiggly Butt.
