Liberals think fairness is inverting the supposed caste system of a century ago to punish the descendants of the (mostly not) guilty group.

And many of the “privileges” ascribed to white privilege are simply benefits of belonging to a majority linguistic, ethnic and cultural group.

In every society, not speaking the majority language is a hindrance, as is not understanding and participating in the culture. Locking yourself in a ghetto is about as crippling as being forced in one, hence the point.

The liberal mistake, though, is ascribing an original sin to Caucasians, especially Caucasian men, and then seeking to turn them into “untouchables” as a caste. As someone told me, at least with Islam, you can convert to escape Dhimmitude. With liberals, you are a sinner to a severity ascribed to your demographics. And if you don’t self-flagellate, you’re excluded from decent society altogether, hated and condemned like apostates.

And no one likes being told you are inherently evil based on characteristics you cannot change, punished for sins you didn’t commit, that every other culture and people is better than you. And that your home nation is inherently bad, despite the two wars in a century to fight evils abroad and the modern civilization your group essentially founded.

Whites aren’t to be punished for creating industrial civilization with antibiotics and electronics. Africans, Asians, Middle Easterners all could have done this - but didn’t because they are overwhelmingly fatalistic in faith (Islam especially) or see things as a system that cannot be broken down and studied (Confucianism and Buddhism, esp.). Only the rationalist movement in Europe said you could study pieces of the world to understand the whole AND the world had rational rules behind it to begin with. That was even an innovation for Christianity of the Middle Ages, allowing science to take off beyond the observation phase.

Thus all the advances and evils attributed to Caucasians are simply due to advances in the culture that made so much possible - benefiting the whole world. Even ISIS with sex slave markets uses cell phones and antibiotics. But all of them have decided to hate and punish the group that created all this, aside from minorities immersed in their culture that contributed.

All because somehow someone failed to separate a successful culture from the race, denigrates both, and managed to convince so many that they should have collective guilt today because of collective inequality in outcomes over the past few centuries. Equality of opportunity is irrelevant to liberals, it is the inequality of outcomes that must be punished.

Hence the demand to punish the generation today because their ancestors achieved more, along with demonization of them.
