Translation: “would you be so kind as to waste your time checking for stuff that attacks known vulnerabilities on my system so I don’t have to, stuff which your system is immune to, all so I don’t have to practice safe computing and can keep using a fundamentally promiscuous OS?”

I have to side with Up Yours on this one.
I maintain a corporate Linux mailserver system that checks for -all- malware, Windows, Mac, Linux, agnostic. Because I can't afford to let my company's reputation suffer, or cause my employer to get sued for damages, because some lazy customer or client of ours received malware from my mailserver and it attacked their systems. Period.
It's not a question of "wasting time". It's a question of responsibility.
