Preseason means absolutely nothing. Yes, that is why the entire NFL uses it to evaluate what their team composure will be.

The Eagles looked great in the preseason. The offense looked polished and was hitting on all cylinders. They stunk up the real games. Point is that decent preseason performance does not equal decent regular season performance. Tebow played against third stringers, undrafted free agents, and other guys who got cut. He didn’t make the grade. A couple of ok quarters don’t make an NFL QB.

No, not with his contract.

Whatever you say. I was arguing his case from the Christian standpoint. I really don't care anymore about the sports arguments. When I flip channels, i see these men who are totally lost, arguing like 3 year olds that if only someone would listen to their sports wisdom, all would be right in the world. Then they argue on the radio......saying the same thing. I wish these men had the same passion for their own families.

A few changes and you are describing message boards. Lol.

He had poor throwing mechanics and footwork, couldn’t read defenses very well, and tended to run rather than staying in the pocket and finding an open receiver. QB’s with a 47% career completion rate are not exactly a sought after commodity in the NFL.

Not unless they’re trading for him. No way the Eagles release Murray. With Kelly gone, they may actually use him the right way.

Another article pointed out that the firing happened after a meeting between Kelly and owner Jeffrey Lurie. 6-9 wouldn’t necessarily have gotten him fired. Saying the wrong things to the owner is what got him canned.

What a great tune!
This was only a matter of time. The simple fact is that all the offensive “innovation” he got away with at Oregon won’t play in the NFL. Simple as that.
