On Saturday night the football world erupted with the reported allegation from an Al Jazeera report about Peyton Manning being involved with a clinic that distributed HGH.

The Al Jazeera report was first promoted via the Huffington Post, which highlighted Manning's name in the report because his wife allegedly received HGH shipments in Florida. Manning fired back quickly and aggressively, calling the report "complete garbage" and discussing the possibility of suing Al Jazeera for defamation.

When he suffered the neck injury and then had surgery , I bet my buddies that he would never play in the NFL again.

I was wrong. But was I?

Yeah, we can trust news that comes second hand through Al Jazeera and then Clinton News Network.

“I was wrong. But was I?”

Yes, you were wrong because he did, in fact, play in the NFL again and was doing quite well until the plantar injury. ;-)

From what I’m hearing on FNC, Al Jazeera has backed off. There is no there, there. In our scandal obsessed culture, Manning is probably destroyed since allegations never go away and Bronco haters will unleash more, likely unsubstanuated attacks.

I’d say since it’s Al-Jizz it must be taqiyya, except for one thing: How does dissing Peyton manning advance Islam?

I’ve been a Manning fan since Archie played. The entire family handles their celebrity with humility and share their bounty with those in need. A model sports family. That said, Peyton’s reaction to the news is exactly the reaction every athlete has to PED scandals. Denial. I tend to not believe athletes denials, but in Peyton’s case, I believe him. My faith may turn out to be misplaced. Time will tell.
