The top ten:
1. Louie De Palma
2. Ed Norton
3. Lucy Ricardo
4. Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli
5. Archie Bunker
6. Spock
7. Lt. Columbo
8. Emma Peel
9. Barney Fife
10. George Costanza

I would've put Caroline Holden from Baywatch in the top ten, but that's just me.

Danny DeVito? Heck, I didn’t even WATCH Taxi and had to look him up. I’m sorry, but the rest of the Top Ten (plus the missing Gracie Allen) run rings around him, and he’d probably be the first to admit it. Or is it fixed, like in his movie “The Ratings Game”?
And Perry Mason (played by Raymond Burr) should have made the list.

The idiots who made the list have a picture of Steve Martin for Sgt. Bilko!

I know these lists are subjective but no one from MASH? Hawkeye? Charles? Hotlips?

I wasn't a big Taxi fan, but my impression is that Danny DeVito's character was sort of an on-the-job version of Archie Bunker.

#1 doesn’t deserve to be in the top 10.

Maybe it's a war thing. Colonel Hogan's not on the list, either.

Partner of Steed in the Avengers. Steed was the English Gentleman, Mrs. Peel was his more than capable sidekick who flirted while fighting the next over the top villain. As a character, she's utterly memorable, and NOT just for her looks. The British too cool thing going on in overdrive. She's in the right spot on the list.

And Perry Mason (played by Raymond Burr) should have made the list. I disagree most with #8, Emma Peel. And I should have added to my post: Please feel free to offer alternatives.
And yep, I would have replaced Emma Peel with Perry Mason.
