Thursday on MSNBC, the former Gov. Ed Rendell (D-PA), also the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said in the presidential election debates, any Democrat,Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)16%, Martin O'Malley, or Hillary Clinton will "expose" Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's "lack of knowledge about things like the nuclear triad."
Rendell said, "I think any Democrat,Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley,one-on-one with Donald Trump would be very advantageous. Donald does well when he controls the agenda. When speaking to a Trump rally. Even in the debates, nine, ten candidates, you know, moderators don't get to press him on substantive issues well. But in a one-on-one debate in the fall, whether Hillary Clinton or any Democrat, Donald Trump's lack of knowledge about things like the nuclear triad will be exposed to the public big time. And I don't think he'll seem ready to be president at that point. "
When asked about Donald Trump's tweet telling Hillary Clinton to be careful, Rendell said, "Let me tell you, with everything that Hillary Clinton's been through in her public career, Hillary's not afraid. She's not afraid of anything. She's seen it all. She's heard it all. She's been attacked by people a lot tougher and a lot smarter than Donald Trump."

Who is to say that Trump is ignorant of that. Fast Eddie is more than a liberal slug. He is also an insufferable egotist and arrogant liberal know it all who looks down on anyone who does not share his, and the dnc's, agendas.
About the time when Rendell was Guv of PA, he had that altercation with Leslie Stahl over expanded gambling and showed his pomposity.
.
Sadly Rendell is absolutely correct.
Everyone should be able to see Trumps vacuousness.
.
The majority of the electorate is unalterably opposed to Trumps candidacy.
But then there is that 30% +/- that are infatuated with him, and are blind to the realities of Trump.
Hillary has had the benefit of a mainstream media constantly running interference for her and close aids constantly falling on their swords to protect her.
If she didn’t have that all these years she would be on the scrap heap by now.
If you think Hillary would last 15 minutes with Trump, he'd rip her a new one because he isn't afraid to go after her on any issue.
So the Dems and GOPe are stuck: they can "civilize" the debates and actually make it about policy---but then the mods can't use their little "gotcha" questions. Or they can stick with "gotcha" and lose.
.
The only thing Trump understands about government is illicit pay-offs.
Who would he pay off?
Trump is lost in the woods. He has to fool more than twice as many people as he has so far.
Good luck on that!
“Iâd forgotten about Big Ed, a truly feckless lickspittle.”
Oh, you are just trying to be nice. ð
.
If Trump could *fix* anything, he would not have four major bankruptcies.
Seems like Trump was able to overcome those obstacles.
Wow!.
This is the slick Clinton’s Ed Rendell, the upper echelon of the rat party. LOL at the fact he is so concerned that TRUMP is not up to Clinton’s ability in a debate. Is he serious?!! There is no doubt that if Trump wants this enough to suffer the slings and arrows we’ve seen thus far, he wants this enough to bone up on potential issues needing to be discussed in any and all debates. The man knows his limitations, and this is more than likely not one that he owns. Ed sells him short....but what can be expected when the standard for him is WHO?? HRC! Perhaps Donald Trump will have a few aces up his sleeve and able to pull off what she has seemed to manage...ie: having the questions known before the actual debate. Perhaps it might be faith misguided, but there is faith in Donald that he is aware of just what he is doing and what needs to be done. He as been in debates before - and trusted to have to step up that platform yet again.

Those that get it will be voting for Ted Cruz; those that dont may include the deceased in Chicago, New Orleans, and Palm Beach.
Yep, he overcame them, but his investors didn’t.
They are living out their retirement years in poverty, in most cases.
If you or I did what Trump has done numerous times, we would be wearing orange pajamas in the Graybar Towers.
.
He also reads 5-7 newspapers a day!
No investment is guaranteed.
Zip. Nada.
It is called risk taking for a reason.
I happen to like Cruz too. A great conservative. Nice man.
However, if Washington can be changed, and that is a big if,
It will take someone like Trump to do it.
If it can be done at all.
:)
Agreed.
Trump has a large view that I certainly appreciate but he is clearly lacking in policy formulation. He is going to have to learn a great deal very quickly.
At least he has the propensity for it.
You made the point exactly. Trump believes he has won the debates and that makes it less likely he will do the preparation necessary to be effective on policy.
He does well if you’re looking for the equivalent of a WWE smack down, but some folks aim a little higher than that.
