Jamarlon Edwards is too young to buy beer, but he's charged with murder, capital murder, theft and robbery in a string of carjackings in the Birmingham area.
Aaron Thomas, 17, is charged with capital murder. So are 18-year-old James Reynolds and 19-year-old Dominic Keeth. Ditto 16-year-old Anthony Murray, 18-year-old Harold Mason, 18-year-old Rufus Clyde Jr. and 18-year-old Cameron Green.
It's been that kind of year. An epidemic of children turned killers.
In the Birmingham area in 2015, at least 16 teens were charged with capital murder or murder, including a 15-year-old who is said to have killed three in cold blood and is suspected in a fourth slaying.
A band of teens wrought havoc in a series of home invasions in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. A 13-year-old is charged in Birmingham with shooting another child.
Drugs, unsupervised lives, too little love at home, the allure of power through violence. Prosecutors, investigators, and officials struggle to explain.
"It seems we see more and more of violent young men who take no thought of the feelings of others," said Bessemer Cutoff Chief Assistant District Attorney Bill Veitch. "These individuals seem to regard others as almost video-game characters that stand between themselves and what they want; be it property, sex, cash, or simply the 'high' of firing a gun and seeing someone go down."

Not having a responsible father in the house is the number 1,2, and 3 reason for this situation. Generally speaking, where do you think most young boys learn their behavior? Or are restrained against learning bad behavior?
Look for it to only get worse as this generation of fatherless children begin having their own kids and all bets are of as the children of illegal immigrants get older given that many of them were meant as anchor babies and get little true parenting from both mom and especially dad.

"Daddyless" sons are the scourge of our society.
There have been fairly accurate studies about the men in prison (all races) who had no REAL "daddy" and "dad."
Dads teach sons how to deal with adult male authority. Black dads are even MORE important as they teach their sons how to deal with adult male WHITE authority.
"MAMA," as nice as she may be, CANNOT do that. It is a DAD'S job.

Blacks are 13% of the population yet commit 50% of the murders in the US.
In 2012 (last yr we have figures available) Blacks committed more murders than whites in total.
The excuse of no father in the home is just that - an excuse. While it doesn’t help the situation, it’s not the cause.
Many children grow up without a father in the home. Look at all the military families with fathers away for months at a time. Their kids aren’t murdering people in cold blood.
No impulse control and a tendency toward violence seems to be a common denominator.

Please don’t play word games with a very important problem.
Having a father away in the military is vastly different than having no father around or one around that cares. The point is that the boy has a role model of some kind that he learns behavior from and will have to answer to at some point.
Are you saying that some boys are born with no impulse control and a tendency towards violence? Please elaborate.

An epidemic of children turned killers. WHERE ARE THE PARENTS, WHERE ARE THE PARENTS!!! This can be fixed quickly hold the parents responsible and throw thier a##es in jail. They will fix thier own house when they know they will be locked up for child abuse, by the way these are young adults not children!@

“Gun violence” is really an evil term because it lumps legal and moral use of firearms to defend life and property and horrible crimes committed with guns. Legal and moral gun violence is essential to prevent society from turning into a jungle ruled by insane, screeching, murderous chimps in human form.
I wonder why their brains are different.
I know several educated blacks, but it seems they can easily revert to black ism if the situation is right.
