Ronald Kessler reporting from Washington, D.C. , The Republican Party will continue to lose presidential elections if it comes across as mean-spirited and unwelcoming toward people of color, Donald Trump tells Newsmax.
Whether intended or not, comments and policies of Mitt Romney and other Republican candidates during this election were seen by Hispanics and Asians as hostile to them, Trump says.
"Republicans didn't have anything going for them with respect to Latinos and with respect to Asians," the billionaire developer says.
"The Democrats didn't have a policy for dealing with illegal immigrants, but what they did have going for them is they weren't mean-spirited about it," Trump says. "They didn't know what the policy was, but what they were is they were kind."
Romney's solution of "self deportation" for illegal aliens made no sense and suggested that Republicans do not care about Hispanics in general, Trump says.
"He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal," Trump says. It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote," Trump notes. "He lost the Asian vote. He lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country."
The GOP has to develop a comprehensive policy "to take care of this incredible problem that we have with respect to immigration, with respect to people wanting to be wonderful productive citizens of this country," Trump says.

“A conservative has ZERO chance of getting elected”
HTF do you know this? When is the last time a candidate on the ballot for POTUS ran on a strict conservative platform?
Unless you think Ted Cruz is as inarticulate as a Christine O’Donnell, Todd Akin, Richard Murdock which is a fallacy in itself because Cruz doesn’t commit those type of gaffes, what is the basis for this belief?
“We absolutely KNOW Trump will build the wall and send them home. Cruz is unlikely to do it.”
Oh really, how do you KNOW this? Because Trump said so? Cruz has also been proposing building a wall since 2011. Trump? Not so much. He only started saying it because he knew it’s what people wanted to hear because his history on the statements concerning illegal immigration have been mixed at best.
And why will Cruz unlikely do it? Let me guess, you think Cruz is in bed with crony global corporatists and the NWO and his wife in Goldman Sachs blah blah blah, cheap labor, blah blah blah.

I do have the 2011 edition, sitting right here. I’m guessing you are talking about Chapter Nine “It’s Called Illegal Immigration For A Reason”.
That quote nor the reasoning is not in this book. And as far as the article stating that as his position, based on the media’s honest reporting of what he says, I’ll believe it when I see the video of that interview.
Spoken like a liberal.
The trumpsters will ignore this cause their guy is a billionaire! Never mind that gave gave to the Clintons. Trump is the savior!/s
As far as I know, Newsmax didn’t video the interview, but these quotes have been reported by Breitbart, Fox News, Red State and many other conservative publications.
This is all part of that elaborate chess game and secret plan.
Sun-Tzu is involved, too, I think.
“HTF do you know this?”
Because more than half the country is on the public dole... Not working, welfare, food stamps etc. And I’m not referring to SS recipients who paid for it.
OMG LOL
Truth will bring a landslide.
I don’t know if Cruz had a skateboard, but when he was in high school, he traveled all over the state of Texas giving speeches on the Constitution.
Has Trump ever mentioned that particular document?
Maybe he was too busy hosting reality TV.
“Oh really, how do you KNOW this?”
Because he built his whole campaign on this. He would be viewed as a failure if he did not...
The media is pretty lock step in reporting inaccurately what Trump says. The fact that several sites say the same thing doesn’t make it true.
“Trupsters” is a slang term used by the media and the gope to insult the base.
(see tea party insults etc.)
I think this counts...
Defend The Laws And Constitution Of The United States
America will only be great as long as America remains a nation of laws that lives according to the Constitution. No one is above the law. The following steps will return to the American people the safety of their laws, which politicians have stolen from them:

Wonder who posted that for him.
In his book...”Art of the Deal”,Trump implied Reagan was a con man who who couldn’t deliver the goods!!!

When Trump supporters make the claim that Trump is like Reagan...Is this what they are talking about???
Btw...anyone who says that about Reagan will never get my vote!!!
This is from the book published in 2011 before the 2015 revision:
(Chapter) NINE IT'S CALLED ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION FOR A REASON
Now, as for what to do about illegal immigration, we should follow the repeal of the anchor baby provisions with a five-point program to create a smart and humane plan to get illegal immigration under control. It starts with securing our borders.
Second, we need a president who will enforce our laws.
The third thing we need to do is overturn Obama's insane new ICE recommendations for illegal immigrant detention facilities.
The next part of my plan involves opposing the so-called DREAM Act, which grants in-state tuition benefits at public colleges and universities to illegal immigrant college students.
Democrats need to respect our laws, respect the fact that Latino Americans are as interested in the rule of law as anyone else, respect the immigrants who are patiently and lawfully standing in line for legal citizenship, and most of all respect our own citizens who should not have the rule of law, their jobs, even their lives and their nationâs future put at risk by irresponsible Washington politicians.
