DES MOINES, Iowa,- A Des Moines, Iowa, police officer accidentally fired his gun while practicing his quick draw skills in an airport office, a police report says.
Officer Brady Pratt, 23, was in a Des Moines International Airport office Wednesday afternoon and drew his weapon to practice "his quick draw skills" and "unknowingly had his finger on the trigger and discharged a round into the ceiling tile," the report states.
The bullet struck the ceiling, traveled through a wall and into a ceiling tile in an unoccupied adjacent hallway. No one was injured, but another police officer was present to witness the accidental shot. Pratt notified a supervisor.
"Discipline is always a possibility when [police officers] are negligent. The level will be determined by the circumstances. There will be a very thorough review," said Sgt. Paul Parizek, Des Moines Police Department spokesman.
Practicing quick draw with a loaded weapon is a dangerous thing to do even at the range.
What a dumbass.
Remember.......Only police should carry guns/s
Actually, most fighters in the old west were shot in the back.
There were only one or two “real” duels.
That is true, everything else was Hollywooded up.
I still like Louis L’Amour novels though heh.
No donuts for you!
"This looks like bat country!"
You can be fastest draw on the planet- but if the first one goes in the dirt or in the clouds, you may not live to make another shot.
Not the person in the .gif- but Barney fife in the artcile
