Almost makes you want to join PETA...
Naaa, not quite.
But this is definitely borderline “Unethical”!
The owner better sleep with one eye open!
i’m eyeing my cat with the idea of torturing him with this haircut.
I treat him like gold, but I wasn’t always kind.
used to hit the wall when old cat walked by and he’d jump like a cartoon character with all fours leaving the floor at once.
I went to confession.
I do not think clipping your cat’s fur is unethical. My long-haired Norwegian Forest Cat does not groom himself very well; his fur gets very matted and dirty and every 3-4 months I have to take him in and have him shorn. He is at all cooperative with his shampoo and shave, indeed he is very rude and disrespectful toward the grooming lady. His language would make a sailor kitteh blush. He treats the grooming lady even worse than he treats everybody else in the world; he is not a gentleman. (Occasionally, he is nice to me in his own feed-me-now sort of way.) Thus he ends up with a very bad $60 sort-of-a-lion cut. I would get a kick of getting him a dragon cut next time he goes in (appointment next week) as it would certainly fit his personality but I think he would have to be sedated to do it, and I do not think I should put him at risk with an unnecessary anesthesia. I will say this, after each session with the grooming lady, his disposition improves a bit having encountered someone more determined and tougher than he is. So the $60 is well spent indeed.
