If commemorations of Cecil Rhodes is so offensive then liquidate the Rhodes Scholarship and give the money to charity. The Rhodes Scholarship is as racist as any statue. Rhodes created the scholarship because he thought American WASPSs were the natural co-rulers of the world as the British. He wanted the American WASPs to receive a proper English education.

Someone here posted a before-and-after picture of a huge ancient statue in south-central Asia. It was carved into a mountain. The Taliban (or was it ISIS?) found that statue offense, so they blew it up.
