That's the tweet I sent to Jeb Bush the other day, when virtually the entire planet was united in bashing Donald Trump's call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration to the USA.
I also tweeted another obvious truth, "If the Republican Party doesn't dump Donald Trump, the American people will.
Trump's outrageous "Muslims Keep Out" plan — apparently his policy answer to last week's terrorist attack in San Bernadino — is an embarrassment to our country and what it stands for.
It's also a serious threat to the Republican Party, because it's being used by Hillary, Democrat hacks in Congress and the Big Liberal Media to smear the GOP as the party of bigots and idiots.

People forget why RR was first elected. It had nothing to do with his being a conservative, or being eloquent or classy, or of his wit and humor, or his ability to create optimism.
RR was first elected because of the Iranian Hostage Crisis because he was viewed as a hardline badass sonofabitch who would teach the terrorists a lesson and was unwilling to negotiate at all with any terrorist.
It was later about two years into his first term that RR became wildly popular and that conservatism was adopted by a huge majority of Americans. That is what sprung the Reagan Revolution and the republicans who inherited the principles of the revolution have squandered them.
Trump is more like RR of 1980 than of RR of 1976.
In 1976, Americans were fed up with the perceived favoritism conferred by the Ford pardon of Nixon, the long lines at gas stations and they elected Carter because republicans were ashamed and decided to stay home. The democrats were given a chance to show they could improve ethics and the economy.
By 1980 democrats had failed catastrophically with their opportunity.
Just as today democrats have run the ethics and economy of the USA into the ground, and just as today Americans are mad as hell, voters will vote Donald Trump into the White House. They will not allow the democrats another chance to control the White House in 2016.

Reagan was four years younger in 1976 and he had the in your face personality that Trump has, but there was no hostage crisis, and the country is coming out of Nixon years, and the ineptness of a guy like Ford. The country wasn’t ready for him.
1980, different story. Reagan still hawkish, and maybe there’s some truth that the bullet softened him, but Reagan would be very much the stand out candidate if he were running today.
Trump, like Reagan, is popular now because of the terror threat and immigration issue plus the economy. 4 and 8 years ago he would laughed at.

N. Reagan was into astrology and had an astrologer (Quigley)do RWR’s charts and made scheduling decisions based on that “info”. Also Jeane Dixon who was kind-of a TV celebrity for a few years. I’m not sure if Dixon was a psychic or astrologer, but I place all of those charlatans into the same bucket. Tons of into about this via Google.

Trump doesn't have to be the best "Conservative" to attain the Republican top spot. All he has to be is the most viable Republican. If you refuse to crawl over shards of glass to vote for him, should we registered citizens and Republicans name him as our candidate, you should be the one designated a tool, and feel free to STFU! When I first heard something regarding Nancy Reagan and astrology, I wondered how a bright woman such as she could possibly believe in it. To tell you the truth, I don't know how much accuracy these stories have, given the hatred and vindictiveness of Reagan's enemies, but I am open to whatever the truth is about Nancy's non/involvement (as the case may be) with astrology.

I can at least respect the FReeper who said that they conceded that everything he did in his past was a big concern, but now they trust him to do what he says he’s gonna do.
It’s not that difficult to put down the koolaid and accept the fact that the man has no conservative record whatsoever. Accept that you’re putting your faith in the man wholly based upon what he’s said in the last six months, despite the gross lack of specificity, and not upon anything he’s actually done. Just like the FReeper who conceded these things but still was gonna vote for him because she trusted him...nobody is telling you not to vote for the charlatan....but at least have the intellectual honesty to own that vote by admitting the man is not the patron saint of all things conservative and in fact has a lifelong record of NOT being a conservative.
