What a ridiculous idea. And he just keeps on getting that big, fat paycheck.

Isn’t this years-old news? That picture’s been out there for a while.

Why would 3 random skulls give what Jesus looked like? Did all Jews look the same back then? Do we know that were even skulls of Jews? We know from history people from many nations traveled though the area.

Yup! And he still looks like that guy that used to play in a lot of “spaghetti westerns.”

That same pic has been circulating for years.
In any event, three skulls of unknown provenance from an area that was a crossroads and melting pot for the entire eastern Mediterranean (see Acts 2:8-11) do not a valid sample make.

Well its not like it should be a surprise physically Jesus the Christ was much like all the other people of the region else why would Judas have to mark him so well ?

Exactly. Fellow just justifying his paycheck.
And the notion that this is some sort of groundbreaking new science is bunk. We studied forensic reconstruction back when I was studying archaeology in the early '70s.

It's Christmas, and the Neanderthal looking Jesus reconstruction is BACK, being touted again as what Jesus must have looked like based on one forensic anthropologist's idea of what 1st Century Jews MUST have looked like. Despite have been roundly panned by other anthropologists as bad science when it first appeared, it keeps being brought up by Shroud skeptics. -- PING!

What a ridiculous idea. And he just keeps on getting that big, fat paycheck. Well, he's retired now. . . so let's grant him his retirement and so he's making hay with extra-income by pushing his Jesus as a Neanderthal picture. . . LOL!

Isnât this years-old news? That pictureâs been out there for a while. Yup! Sure is. But the naysayers have to keep trotting it out biannually at Christmas and Easter to show how ridiculous they think Christians are to follow this idiotic looking guy. . . ignoring that THEY are the ones who drew the caricature like picture.

Yes, well, God in His infinite wisdom gave no indication whatever in His word of the physical appearance of His incarnate Son. And, you know, there might just be a lesson in that. So, let Europe go on depicting Jesus one way, Africa another, Asia another, and the Americas whichever way suits their heritage. That way everyone can be both right and wrong, and it in no way endangers the truth of the Holy Scriptures or sanctity of the Holy Christian Church.
Put more briefly: Who cares?

Imagine someone 2000 years ago reconstructing your face from the skulls of the people you see at the mall. How accurate would it be?

Let me try that again:

A dead-ringer for the guy that rang my doorbell and tried to sell a Kirby Ultimate G combination carpet and vacuum cleaner last week. I think he’s still in town. I declined the offer as I already own one and prefer to clean or vacuum the carpet with one hand while holding a cup of coffee in the other. Occasionally I wear a maid’s uniform to lend an air of authenticity to my efforts. The grand-kids get a kick out of my performances. The wife not so much. But I digress. Excuse me.
