Ted Cruz is a senator. The gang of 8 bill passed in the Senate so Ted Cruz did not stop the gang of 8 bill. The gang of 8 bill died in the House, it died when million of Americans melted the phones in DC. Just like millions of American did to stop the Bush amnesty. Cruz trying to claim he stopped the gang of 8 bill, is one of reasons I question his character. Also Sessions not Cruz lead the fight in the Senate. Cruz was open to supporting gang of 8 bill until the gang rejected his amendment.

Rush Limbaugh is a establishment blow hard. Very over rated by conservatives. I will say Rush was good back in his early years, but ever since he stayed the night at HW White House he hasn't been the same.

That is UTTER NONSENSE. Cruz offered many amendments to expose what the Gang of 8 backers really wanted, complete amnesty. He said even before they went up that he knew they would vote the amendments down. They were show amendments used to make a point, something plainly obvious to everyone at the time or if you watch the videos now. That was all in the context of Cruz leading a huge fight against the bill.
