HUH?

They are great, smart dogs, but they are only medium sized and they are build more for stamina as opposed to strength and they are not ferocious at all. They don’t belong on this list.

Not ferocious? Ha! My Aussies don't fit your description. That breed is versatile and can do many jobs. They are each 45 pounds of pure guardian attitude. They are alert to every noise and they make sure I know. I almost pity the fool that ever breaks into my house - those dogs will do some real damage. You know the saying, it is not the size of the dog, but the fight in the dog.

My Australian shepherds don’t fit that description, either. Their deep barks when strangers come to the house make them sound like much larger dogs, and they are fiercely loyal and protective - bred to watch over their “herd” or “flock.”
