To: PROCON

I could be proven wrong but I think it is a huge mistake by power-hungry DOT people to close the freeway. The pictures I saw of the slide showed it only affecting 1 of 3 northbound lanes. The geology as far as I know is ancient 50 million year old bedrock for the most part. A dozer could have easily opened traffic to 3 lanes within an hour and in the meantime 2 lanes could have been kept open with no danger. Tell me why I am wrong!

I don't know if you're wrong or not, I'm no geologist.

I just remember that stretch of road as having massive rising, steep rocky hills on the east side of the freeway. Even with the chain-link fences up the hills to stop rock slides, it still may be a precarious path.

But WSDOT is incompetent, just like most gubmint agencies.

Who knows?
