Senators Cruz and Paul Use the "M" Word, Moratorium! Trump Follows

Be still my beating heart! There it is, out there, the M-word! Several of them in fact! Moratorium on Muslim Migration!

I started to write this post yesterday, then spent the day running out to the doctor (nothing is fast with doctors these days, have you noticed that) and as I'm trying to read news on my phone, the Cruz and Paul news was eclipsed by The Donald news when he jumped on the bandwagon.

However, all of the news reports I was reading and hearing claimed Donald Trump was alone in his call for a ban on Muslim migration to America. He was actually the third Presidential candidate to make that call. Trump called it a "ban," but that sounds like moratorium to me.

This is what I started to write about yesterday from Julia Hahn at Breitbart. She has Senator Cruz uttering the word and I heard Senator Paul say it on Fox News yesterday morning!

trump paul cruz ap ap reuters Separating themselves from the pack in a big way!

Presidential candidates Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) are demanding a halt to immigration from Muslim nations with jihadist movements.

Their fellow contender, Sen. Marco Rubio, did not call for curbs to Muslim immigration in his live response to the President address on Fox News , a response promoted by Rubio’s campaign.

Cruz tweeted that if elected president, "I will shut down the broken immigration system that is letting jihadists into our country." Cruz elaborated in a statement:

The President should place an immediate moratorium on refugees from countries with a significant al Qaeda or ISIS presence, such as Syria. I've introduced legislation to make this happen; it is not a desired step, but a necessary step for the security of the United States.

Similarly, Rand Paul tweeted, "While ‪@POTUS paid lip service to this fight, he plans to keep failed rules in place & allow tens of thousands of refugees to enter the US."

"Immigration visas & refugees from countries with active terror networks must be halted while we determine how to better secure our borders," Paul in a separate tweet. "His administration is focused on gun laws that won’t stop terrorists while pushing policies that will let more of them in the country," Paul wrote.

If the media ever gives Cruz a chance to speak to the issue, we’ll find out exactly what he meant by his statement. I know he has called for a ban on Muslims coming in from nations that have jihadist movements.

do you know how close Cruz’ policy IS to what Trump said?????? DAMNED CLOSE, thereby making your statement wrong.

Disavow means a total rejection, no support at all....that’s hardly the case on this issue with these two.

Words mean things...

I will vote for Trump or Cruz. Anyone else is a waste of time because they are all part of the Uniparty.

Cruz would make a great POTUS, but he will not get the turnout to overcome Dems. He also only appeals to the most conservative voters. He will not get the crossover support that Trump would from disaffected Dems, blue collar, and first time voters.

[If CRUZ does win the general, I hope all of Trump supporters will support him. I know I will 100%, but we may have some of those who will just sit it out, just because. IDIOTS.]

That same hope can be said for Cruz supporters if Trump is nominee. Will they support him, or sit at home pouting b/c the nominee isn’t “perfect”???

For the record, yes I would support Cruz nomination, but I don’t believe he will have the cross over support that Trump will have.

You have just put your finger on the most critical practical issue in this election.

The leftist media controls the deadly narrative; DID control the narrative.

I believe Trump is the ONLY Republican candidate capable of affecting the narrative, and even controlling it himself.

I love Cruz, but someone will have to explain how Cruz defeats the leftist media narrative, or why that is unimportant.

Yes, Cruz would trash Hillary in debate. So what? The debates are part of the deadly media narrative.

I disagree. Cruz can be very persuasive. The media has ignored him pretty much all the way through the campaign.

Garbage, If Cruz believes in a moratorium, he should have just come out and said so. But he couldn’t because he ether does not want it or he is too cowardly to face the backlash. This is just like Cruz, try to straddle the fence and when push comes to shove, do what ever your big money donors dictate. Exactly what Cruz did on the Corker bill and TPA. Cruz is just your typical politician, nothing more.

I heard this woman on an interview on Red Ice Radio. She is pretty amazing. She started looking around and seeing a sizable amount of “refugeea” in her sleepy little Virgina (maybe W. Virginia, I don’t remember) town. She went into research mode. She’s highly educated, I think Yale and some other big name school. Anyhow, long story short, she single handedly put an end to it and then started this organization. One person can and often does make a difference.

We owe a certain gratitude to one Sarah Palin. She tilted things just enough that you could peer into the overton window. My prayer was always someone was paying attention and would pick up the reins.

I never dreamt that person was going to be Donald Trump.

For those that do this stunt again is beyond belief. Look what they gave us, and now I suppose they are on here bashing Obama now, what gall.

for the most part I do believe most Trump supporter will make the right decision and vote CRUZ. I am a supporter of both, lol. Whichever is SUPER GREAT FOR me & mine.

BASHING now on those who sat out the last time, you idiots. Huckabee said in the debate his estimate was about 55K Christians who did not vote, think of that. I guess that is on top of the idiots who sat out because Romney was not PERFECT.

Question is WHY do Christians not vote, are they just stupidly passive and don't care? I don't get it, perhaps Obama has awakened the sleeping giant. I do hear many of my Christian friends now voicing opinions, that is a good thing. They know I am political and they voice it to me in Church, I try to educate them there as much as possible an push Trump or Cruz.

TRUMP or CRUZ........BOTH preferably. It is going to be one of them. I have not had my bottle of campaign opened yet from the last election. It ought to be ripe now. Can’t wait.

Why not just call the Saudi king and tell him we have nukes pointed at unholy Islam’s most unholy shrines. We then order the muzzies to pull their terrorists out. One more terror attack and the nukes are on their way to turning large areas of the ME into glass parking lots. We don’t their oil bad enuff to be held hostage.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a boycott on Saudi oil like the one we had on Iran, until they reign in the extremists.

We don’t buy very much oil from them these days so I still think small nukes that would not endanger friendly nations is our best shot. Not sure if there are any friendly nations in the region nowadays.

I wouldn’t mind a complete boycott but the Muzzies would probably use the time to sneak more extremists into the US. Who knows what could happen?
