Dog lovers are generally totally blind to anything that their animals do that annoy or injure other people. My idiot cousin (some 10 - 12 years ago) had a rescue dog that she had out (without a leash) that bit a jogger. Her response when discussed in family setting? "It only bit him once, and what business did he have jogging down the street where I walk my dog anyway." She was totally serious. In her eyes it was the fault of the jogger. Fortunately for her the guy didn't sue her. I would have.
Always someone else's responsibility with the entitled./s

As if you know enough about the 66.5 million homes with dogs to make such a statement.
All you have told us is the people you know + the people in the news (like the folks and dogs in this story you are commenting on) might be “generally totally blind”, whatever that means.
Remember, it’s only the sensational that makes the news, so those of us with a couple of dogs just living our lives (the far away majority of dog owners) are entirely invisible to you and the media.
I’m a little surprised you continue to fall for it.
And let’s also address the statement annoy or injure. Two entirely different things.
Annoyance is your problem.
The injury part is on me if my dog is responsible.
