Of course, the question for many is whether a pump makes more sense. Best way to answer that question is probably to buy a Mossberg or Remington pump first (less expensive) and then go for the auto. If you already have a pump, you will certainly enjoy the auto.
As you may know, the average in-town ranges often do not allow shotguns so one has to find some safe open area or a trap shooting facility.
Apparently, one of the early things new S12 owners do is to install an after-market gas selector ("V plug" ??) It is a simple screw-in device that seems to cost approx $25. It basically give the shooter a chance to dial in more appropriate settings for various loads so as to avoid FTE's. (I haven't done that yet so have no comments.)
