It was a disappointment. For a movie that DESTROYS THE ORIGINAL ENTERPRISE and kills Kirk’s son and has an implied scene of a teenage Spock getting laid, it was very lacking.
It was Oscar fodder compared to V though. V is non-canon AFAIC.
I hope RR didn’t see “Insurrection” or “Nemesis”.
