I'm wondering if maybe a late-game loss was a wake up call for the Pats. They depend on last minute (even last second) heroics way too often to win games. In the play offs, they're better off getting way ahead early.

The NFL season is a war of attrition.

If the Patriots get some key players back, Gronk, Edleman and Amendola back they will win. All are currently projected to be back for the playoffs.
