A couple years in the military cures any shyness.
You are not kidding. Nothing like taking a dump with a guy right next to you doing the same. Partitions? What are those?
I well remember the row of non-cubicle toilets in the old brick barracks at the Presidio of San Francisco, 6th Army HQ.
Not only gang showers but the toilets had no walls or doors. If you needed to take a dump you were there while others were brushing their teeth or doing the same thing as you, all in the open.
Also, I grew up where there were gang showers in Junior High and High School for both gym classes and the sports teams.
I wonder what they have now?
But there's something that doesn't seem quite healthy about men slipping off their underwear behind a towel etc. Maybe it's my old Army days:
"Save! Shit! Shower! You didn't have the time or the inclination to wonder if somebody might be looking; the thought never seriously occurred to me; and I aways had a "Get-th-f***-outa-my-space" attitude anyway.
Inspection in an hour!"
Are men being intimidated into some kind of bashfulness or self-consciousness? What about timidity? Our country, our families, and our children are in danger, and we cannot afford to be intimidated by anybody or anything.
Maybe what's unhealthy is a homosexual climate that has begun to pervade gyms that I didn't now anything about. The idea of having photos taken is definitely a serious problem.
Maybe it's time to take the gyms back--along with the rest of the country. Maybe all this is symptomatic of the decadence and degeneration that has afflicted the U.S.A. and will be corrected when we have seized control of our country again. There's obviously something wrong, and it needs to be corrected.
