I hadn’t noticed it, but now that you point it out, you are right. Maybe he is trying to entrench himself more widely, so that he will be harder for the government to take down.

He linked to us, thats the way many not so old-time freepers came here.

I just posted to another reply that this is how I found FR in 1998.

It is said that almost ALL political consultants check in on the DrudeReport TEN TIMES DAILY.

Or more.

And why are there pretty girls in car commercials?
It’s not relevant information that concerned people would care about!

He links to what works. Lots of good info shows up there too.

That’s how his page has been for...well, pretty much as long as it existed. The power of his political posts is enough to make us _expect_ significant political content, but it really has always been mostly obsessions with celebrities, earthquakes, and random embarrassments.

What _has_ grown there is the difficulty to load the page, laden with incomprehensibly more than just b/w text with links. I hardly view the page because it’s so unwieldy on mobile devices, and just mildly but consistently annoying on a regular computer.

It seems like so many headlines and stories are more Hollywood BS and other unimportant things, than any relevant information that concerned people would care about

Hollywood is part of his original business plan. He has always done it...and the weather, and whatever..

The Drudge Report is returning to its roots. It started out as a Hollywood gossip column delivered in email form for $10/yr. It appeared on the web in 1997, with politics added to its content. Andrew Breitbart was one of his early helpers.

I first heard about it when Hildebeest pal Sidney Blumenthal sued Drudge in August 1997 for $30m for posting that Blumenthal beat his wife. The suit was settled in 2001 for an undisclosed amount.

Not long thereafter, Drudge broke the Lewinsky story, and he has been famous ever since.

Heh. Personal anecdote on that front:

Back in the Elian Gonzales incident, when pictures emerged I combined them into a GIF that better showed the sequence as an action incident - a somewhat compelling effect. I put it on my personal website, threw a single link onto FR, and went to bed.
Next morning, my server seemed slow.
Later that morning, I got a call from AP about the pictures. OOPS! no harm intended guys, I’ll take ‘em down ASAP.
But...how’d they find out? Oh.
Somehow Drudge got my link from the FR post. Somewhere I’ve got the screenshot.
And the publicity was hammering the servers.
I couldn’t log onto my own server to delete them.
Called my ISP. “Hi, I’m the reason your servers are melting down. Please delete file XYZ.GIF.” Receptionist gladly put me thru to the company president, who got a big chuckle out of the whole thing.

Their business is “clicks.”

His start was doing Hollywood Insider stuff. Without an analysis, I would guess between 1/2 and 1/3 of his stories are entertainment related.

Leo getting raped by a bear certainly got me to click.

Sometimes outrageous works.

Drudge started with Hollywood. He was a conservative insider.

Drudge’s most prominent recent headlines either attack Hillary or support Trump so he’s aces with me.

Interesting quote.

I would add that culture is downstream from the moral health of the country.

To: toomanylaws; All

Drudge talked about Global Warming and the FRAUD Environmental movement the previous 2 days. That was on the top of his web site headlines.

I guess you missed that, and instead tuned into the filthy, rat liars in the Establishment Media that tell you climate change is real as truth?

So why does did Drudge headline Hollywood stooping to new lows today?

Unfortunately it appears it went over some FREEPERS heads.......

Drudge is showing you another side of the cultural destruction of the West. Hollywood reaches a NEW LOW when you thought it could not get any lower? Glorifying bestiality and pure violence. Kind of like the days of Rome and Greece with Gladiators, etc... Just look at NFL football stadiums. They look like Gladiator stadiums in Rome.

That is WHY it is a headline. This ties into the migrants story, that has been on top of Drudge most of the last two months, the Environmental scam and now Hollywood attempting to accelerate the destruction of Western culture to new lows.

It is all tied together. The destruction of our Republic, the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution, the borders, the language and Western Culture. Matt does this everyday and reports what affects OUR LIVES, families, children, religion as Americans.

Matt brings to the mainstream these local and sometimes national stories in order to address it. This is why he is so popular. He addresses REAL ISSUES, and not the FAKE PLASTIC CULTURE of the Establishment that you see in the Establishment Media Twitter, Facebook, TMZ, Buzz Feed, Huffington Post, etc...

Drudge is not glorify it like Entertainment Tonight or TMZ.

If you are not checking Drudge daily, like a newspaper, then you missing out what is really happening vs. the false narrative in the Establishment Media that pretends that are big with their fancy studios, when combined do not even come remotely close to the numbers of the Drudge Report.

This is why people flock to the Drudge Report. It’s REAL NEWS vs. what most news junkies know is a fake narrative, lies and half truths in the CONTROLLED Establishment/Global enemy media that does it’s best to confuse the public.
