I have the Sig 2022 in .40cal.. Extremely reliable... More accurate than my Glock.... But it is a full size gun... Not really made for everyday concealed wear,,,,
Fantastic gun ...... But if you are looking for an everyday concealed weapon, I’d go with a compact weapon...

I have an XDm, but my favorite is the Springfield 1911EMP. Amazingly accurate.

Where I live there’s absolutely no chance of my ever obtaining a CCW permit. So full size is OK.

If no CCW , I like a weapon with an external hammer which the Sig 2022 has.... With the decocking mechanism and great safety it is an excellent weapon!

In the auto family, I’ll always go with a Sig, but then, I own “a few” of them...

Inside the Sig is identical to the 226. Another plus.

...should’ve added: My favorite carry gun is the P220 Compact SAS Gen 2, but then I’m a fan of the good ole .45.

The Sig is one of the best values out there in full size pistols....I like it better than Glock....

Shot my brother’s new XD9 couple weeks back.

Not a fan of the rather long trigger draw, for such a small gun but, did mess with him after figuring out I had too much finger on the trigger, as I am used to a full size .45.

Shot the elbows off the silouette and told him I hated his gun.

Couldn’t seem to center on the red thing in the middle of the target..../S

Still, 2-3” inch groups and chopped up arms and he didn’t get the joke.

It’s a fine gun though.

Way cheaper to shoot as well.

I own 2 XD series pistols and I love them both. For the money you can’t go wrong.

Sheriff Lori hates you....

Not really. She is very political and but, for the pussies in SCCG’mint, she would gladly issue them.

It is best to purchase at least one of each.

Excellent advice, and my recommendation too. BTT

Wait. Remington has something very new on the horizon, and after dropping the ball a bit with their 9mm Model 51, they're particularly anxious to get this one right.

Some details on the pocket version *here*.

But there may be a *big brother version* that's even more interesting. [.pdf file]

I wonder how long it will be before whatever the bidders come up with here will be available to the public? There is an authorized buyer subsection and the contract terms potentially extends to 10 years.

I had the XD before a tragic canoeing accident on a deep lake whose name I forget.

It was excellent. Never a jam. Ergonomic. Reasonably priced. Good aftermarket parts. Had a small rail for the light I wanted.

I can’t comment on the others.

Very nice.

But out of my budget range. I’m looking in the $500 range.
