SUCCESS! Sort of.
I now have Sky running Realvision flicker free on Crossfire. Almost perfectly. I have a slight microstutter issue that’s solvable with more work but the graphics are mindblowing....at HDMI rez.
Oh they are better by heaps at 1440. I just don’t have the power to push it. Yes. With 2 R9 390s it still cannot deal with playable framerates with all the good stuff I have installed and settings maxed.
In fact, it can’t do HDMI with settings maxed either. I had to back off to about 80% on some stuff. 1440 or 4K is clearly 980Ti/Fury or Titan territory in SLI/Crossfire. In other words, Between $1700 and $2500 worth of graphics cards to achieve.
But it doesn’t matter. It looks so damn good now. If I shut down one card, I drop into the 20s with this config. With both on and overclocked, Outside in clouds/fog/rain I can hover between 35-55 depending. At night it’s 50s pretty steady. Inside it’s high 50s. Once I sort the microstutter thing, I’m good to go. With more tuning I might eeek out a couple/few more FPS with little to no quality loss but that’s it.
I new the power of nudity would conquer all...sort of ;)
