Had to do it. Had to create the thread. The game is too damned good. This thread is reserved for hardcore gamers who play Fallout 4. Norm, KC, TADSLOS and I have hijacked so many threads discussing this game, I felt we needed our own thread.
Fallout 4 is amazing. The content is excessively large. There is so much to explore, you could replay this game 10 times and not find every mission or quest. The characters are so much better fleshed out than any other game I have played. Even the radio announcer of Diamond City Radio will have you doubling over in laughter, he's so inept at radio announcing. :) Your companions will pitch in with consistently new, sometimes insightful, and almost always area- or mission appropriate comments. I even got Piper (the hot Reporter chick) to sleep with me. It took a lot of sweet talking. But now she's in love. "Piper, how do you feel about our relationship?" Her answer: "Blue, this is as close to nirvana as I will ever find. Who knew a jaded reporter like me would find love in a wasteland?"
Fallout 4 is so graphics-intensive that I had to upgrade my video card to the GTX970 from Nividia, and I am so glad I did. 4 gigs of video memory, and a solid GPU array. Now I get 60 FPS (at the best) down to about 30 FOS (at the worst) with occasional dips to an unacceptable 24 FPS when in extremely busy, high clutter city areas with lots of combatants.
Our first topic: I want to mod the songs. I want change the Classical Radio Station to play songs I like.
I have six titles so far, that would fit in this game:
Filter's "Hey Man, Nice Shot" to be triggered during combat
Drowning Pool's "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor", also triggered during combat.
Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What"
Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness"
NIN's "Every Day Is Exactly The Same"
Any other suggestions?
She’s great. With the volume off ;)
You can have her back once Godd Howard (PBUH) releases the creation Kit and I can port Lydia.
Oh BTW, she found Religion. After Poseidon, she’s rather... ahem...holey...
I have come to appreciate it in my dotage. I forced myself to listen to it a while back. Glad I did. There’s a lot there to like.
I still like Psych Furs better for that Emo before it was emo type music but Disintegration was a definite masterpiece for them.
Echo and the Bunnymen is pretty good too.
I changed it from the X Bottom to Triangle since I wanted X to be Jump.
Never thought a reporter could consider themselves a success until someone threatened their life. Me? I'm very successful.

I’m still stuck on why Supermutants have the hots for Mrs. Abanerthy. Last night I saved her, got her back to the farm and before I left, they kidnapped her again.
Still can’t figure it out. But, I got some really nice laser rifles and some standard ammo refill. I will research online for the PS4.
Yeah, I just got in the ring.
I got killed in the road, in my underwear by a bunch of big-ass wrinkled up rats what ate me.
And the dog laughed.
And this is just the start.
I am watching the Cardinals/Panthers game.
And A Jeep Grand Cherokee Commercial came on.
As soon as I heard that voice.
I knew.
GLAD YOU ARE PLAYING!!! You will improve. My first death in Fallout 4 was because of... giant... MOSQUITOS. That’s right.
I got sucked to death.
I died happy.
LOL
She was hittin that jet pipe pretty hard, too. Biyotch is a stone cold junkie.
Today we’ve looked out of a burnt out building and seen some survivors.
We were near nekkid and bereft of resources, and they seemed in pretty good shape.
They had clothes and a pot of gumbo at a minimum.
Looked to be two of them. Turned out three.
Looked at ‘em, debated whether or not they might be allies.
Fellow travelers. Compatriots.
We were near nekkid with six rounds and a dog.
I don’t care who they are, better them down than me.
Snuck up and whacked the lot with precious little to show
for it other than an appreciation of Tailgunner dog and
a look at my core values..
Now we’re all gunned up with pants.
Watch out, world...
Did you kill Preston Garvey and Mama Murphy???!?
You are a bad man.
No, but I wouldn’t have slapped ‘em around as much had I had my pants.
I went into this with pants, I kind of expect to have pants.
A brother gets impatient, you take his pants. Just sayin’...
Whatever, I’ve got pants now.
One of the rules of Fallout 4: It is good to have pants.
OK, finally got this game and have played a fair amount (lv 37). I’ve touched very little of the main story (recently saved Nick from the mobsters), but have joined the Brotherhood and the Railroad. The best gun I’ve found so far is Overseer’s Guardian, which does such silly damage once modded with the high damage receiver you get at Gun Nut 3 I probably should up the difficulty. If I put more points in the stats affecting Spray N’ Pray, I bet that would do silly damage as well. I end up selling most of my drugs because I always forget to use them, and I seem to make a lot of money by having sanctuary crank out water with industrial water purifiers. I’ve also found an easy way to quickly get companions up to idolized by abusing the quicksave/reload feature.
Some questions:
-Does chameleon armor stack, and does it become quite as broken as in Oblivion? I’ve only found one piece so far.
-What’s the best non-randomized unique gun and the best randomized gun? What are some really fun weapons to use? (It looks like there’s a two shot fatman and an experimental mirv mod.)
-What’s a good way to get Curie to idolized without doing quests?
-So far, the melee weapons are disappointing compared to the past FO games (haven’t found a ripper or shishkebab, found a super sledge but not a unique one), do they get better?
-What’s the best way to build walls around settlements if they’re on hills? Don’t you dare tell me to use less space, I want all the game can give me dammit!
-I loved the quest involving Covenant, but the town itself is annoyingly glitchy, any good way around this? The turrets aren’t adding defense, I can’t move or scrap them, some of the equipment is marked as owned, and I’d like to figure out how to take the doors off the houses and then put them back on. I have a key for them, but I’m afraid that the settlers will be screwed with the doors. I’m also a console peasant...
Loving the game so far!
