PS if you know the ending please avoid mentioning it. Or not.
I have Netflix but am thinking of getting the Amazon video service.
How much does it cost?
How much did you like that series..?
“How much does it cost?”
$99 for a year. Free shipping on many things and decent selection of movies/TV/made for amazon series.
Sorry -- I'm showing everyone the ending and spoiling it for everyone....
I get it through Amazon Prime membership $99 / year. It’s a pretty good deal especially if you do your Christmas shopping through it.
I enjoyed the series very, very much. I watched the ten one hour episodes over a few days. They are listed as Season 1 so I assume there will be more but no definitive answer that I could see. Hitler is still alive, guns are outlawed, and sumo wrestling is big in the Pacific states of Japan.
Zombie Nazis! Of course!
What I read was the book’s author tried to write a sequel that never was finished.
I also read the Amazon series is very loosely based on the book so expect differences.
Just watched the last episode myself last night.
Really a shocking conclusion. I have a ton of questions which will not be answered until next season.
The series has been well received so there should be a season two.
Amazon Prime is $99 a year. You get free 2 day shipping, free movies and tv shows, free music, free photo storage and more. It is the best deal around, especially if you order a lot online.
so then the video library feature is simply a bonus add-on to the rest..?
If so, that....sounds like a great deal..!
I really enjoy Amazon Prime.
They have a number of television series ( for lack of a better term ) that they have produced that are very good.
There is so much free material for viewership its well worth it.
I also purchase books and clothing - free shipping on everything I have purchased so far. A friend and his wife purchased a huge outdoor wicker sofa and two side chairs. I was there when they arrived and helped unpack the boxes - purchased on Amazon with prime and shipping was free.
Would have cost a fortune to ship otherwise.
We run it through our PS3 as well as iPad, desktop and iPhone. Pretty convenient when you’re visiting the in laws.
Prime service includes unlimited storage for photos and limited non-photo (i.e. Other file types) — make sure you use this benefit for file storage if you pay for prime.
I have been a Prime customer from the very beginning. They have added many new features, movies, music, cloud service, to the original two day free shipping. I highly recommend it. You can easily recoup the annual fee.
Thank you.
I did not know this. Is the photo site like imageshack? Where I can use images for web sites if they are uploaded to Prime?
Dang!
Thanks, you ROCK, man..!
Full of great help.
Book and show have different endings. Plots were a little different too. Just finished the show. Liked it very much, but found it unsettling. A few “good guys”, but wow...different feel from almost everything else. I read that the author basically used random chance ( the I Ching) to decide what happened to characters.
There has to be a second season. This show was good enough to turn Amazon into a “TV Network”
Prime is GREAT if you also have other Amazon products like a Kindle Fire or Amazon Echo. I got on Prime last year for the first time at $99, I have probably saved that in shipping costs over the year. Although their music library isn’t as big as ITunes it is still pretty decent and its provides me with many hours of on demand entertainment through the Echo. I don’t watch too much television so the Prime Video isn’t much of a value to me, this series is the most we have used Prime Video but so far I am impressed with the production and certainly do realize the value in Amazon Prime at $99/yr
With the way it ended I don’t know how they could have a second season. It was a great series but, like you, I found it “unsettling”. There sure were a lot of characters to hate...
