Perhaps they ought to have sent the Redskins to Mecca?

These Indians need to lighten up a bit. Only a moron would go through life thinking that everyone is offending them. Grow up and get over it.

Just curious...is there actually an Oneida Indian reservation? I see they have a large casino in New York state. But other than that....what else does this guy actually represent?
To: ConservativeStatement
Something in the water there Oneida was also the home of one of the weirdest “open marriage” cults in US history (they were also the creators of the silverware company).
Place needs to sprayed... or razed.

For the life of me, I don't see where the insult is in naming teams after Indian tribes. It's an acknowledgement of the bravery and courage attributed to native americans. Even "redskins" with the color reference is not a slam; it's an historically accepted term.
What's next? Forced confiscation of all old coins with a portrayal of an indian?

The Oneida casino in Green Bay enjoys considerable income thanks to the presence of the Green Bay Packers. Perhaps Washington and Green Bay should swap team name: Green Bay Redskins and Washington Packers, everyone will be happy.

I am a registered member of the Oneida Nation. This turd does not speak for me. I see the Redskins team name as well as other Indian team names as a high compliment. They want their teams to aspire to be fierce warriors like the Natives of old.
It would be completely absurd for Americans of Scandinavian heritage to protest the Minnesota Vikings for portraying their ancestors as uncivilized barbarians or some such.
It's a good thing that team logos don't use modern stereotypes.
