Mispronounce the word slightly and you’re saying “whore” in French. The first time I heard the name from a Canadian colleague who recommended it as the ultimate Canuck snack I was a little surprised. Then she said it consisted of french fries and cheese curds, slavered in beef gravy. Hmmm, health food, eh?
It's only dirty if you do it right.
