President Obama is a big sports fan, so when he sat down to do an interview with GQ recently, it was no surprise that he compared himself to a famous athlete.

What was surprising though is that the lifelong Bears fan compared himself to someone who plays for the team the everyone in Chicago hates: The Green Bay Packers.

During the interview, Obama said that when it comes to running the country, he's like "Aaron Rodgers in the pocket."

"In the sense of you can't be distracted by what's around you, you've got to be looking downfield," Obama said. "And I think that's a quality that I have -- not getting flustered in what's around me."

Rodgers heard about the comments on Wednesday and he was definitely flattered by them, especially because they came from the Bears' most famous fan.

That explains why he kicked that door, why he created a diplomatic crisis with the UK, with Israel, with Egypt (twice), with Saudi Arabia, with Nigeria, with most of the rest of our allies...

The QB was George Mira...

I remember George Mira at Miami, which subsequently went on to beome a terrible program before its resurgence in the earlt ‘80’s...he could air it out pretty good for a ‘60’s QB..
