INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) - Former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle on Thursday was sentenced to 15-1/2 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography and sex charges.
Fogle, who became famous after losing weight on a diet that included sandwiches from the fast-food chain, agreed in August to a deal with prosecutors under which he would plead guilty to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors.
Fogle agreed in court on Thursday to avoid pornography, get sexual disorder treatment and will be a registered sex offender. U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt also sentenced him to a lifetime of supervision.

I read somewhere that one of the charges was having paid for sex with girls as young as 16. But 16 is the legal age of consent in about 30 states.
He wasn’t “anti-Bush” enough.
Scott Ritter (of no Iraq WMD fame) only got 1.5 to 5.5 years for essentially the same offense, after two earlier similar ones were dismissed.
AND on bread and water only.
Gee he going to still be on “foot long” diet everyday..and i bet a few 6 inch subs too
Whole wheat or white?
it’s prison so I bet a lot of pumpernickel
Seems exceissive when the prosecutors were looking for 12 1/2 years and he was trying to get 5. The Subway sandwhich guy goes to jail for crossing state lines to sleep with 16 and 17 year old minors. But 16 and 17 are legal in many states. I’m not saying its okay what he did... but I think there is a bit too much hypocrisy going on in this country. And its going to cost a fortune to jail this Subway guy.
You’re quite right. More than one hetrosexual indulging obsessively in sex/porn broadened thir desires to omnisexual. For a few it’s the shock that instills a desire to get away from the porn.
15 1/2 years is a joke.
Jared Fogle deserved life behind bars.
I wouldn’t want him to walk the streets again to prey on innocent children.
That’s me. He got off way too easy.

As Famous White Guy I'm sure the Feds didn't hesitate to tee off on Fogler. But somehow, they still can't manage to even charge Al Sharpton over his tax violations.
He’ll be getting a foot long, and it won’t be no sandwich.
