I'd bet though, if he got clean and started to live a boring, normal life he could live another 25 years. Though the normal, boring life would probably kill him.

I’ve never considered him much of an actor or comedian. The premise of 2 men and a child was repugnant to me and it should have been considered a prime example of child abuse for the situations the ‘2 men’ exposed the young boy to.
And for his medical condition: he made his bed and now has to lay in it.

Interesting family. I got to spend a few days around his dad and Emilio’s daughter. Both very classy people...and I say that as someone who disagrees with Ramon’s politics.
IIRC Martin is a devout Catholic who attends Mass everyday, and yes his politics are a bit misguided.
He started out with a very promising career and his early work is very good, especially “Platoon” & “Wall Street”.
He and Robert Downy, Jr. seemed headed to same place except by all accounts Downy pulled himself out of the Abyss, put his career back on track and is now successful beyond his wildest dreams. I am sorry Charlie did not do likewise. I have always liked him and his movies, was not into Two & A Half Men so much. All you can do is pray for the guy.
