Thank you. One of my favorites...
Saw Emmylou and her buddy Rodney Crowell during their tour a couple of years ago. Great show, she and Rodney played onstage together like the good old days with the Hot Band. She opened with ‘Return of the Grievous Angel’, Rodney actually sang lead on that one, and they progressed up to their present day stuff. Great artist and she’s way too talented to make it today since she doesn’t lip synch and she can actually write songs and sing like an angel.
Thanks again! One thing led to another and another. I think I shall have Sunday music all day.
Have enjoyed her music for years but it’s always puzzled me that somebody with her background embraces the party of sodomy & abortion. Johnny Cash fell into the same category.
Ah, the angelic voice of Emmylou makes my Sunday.

After the Emmylou concert i got to attend a local veteran met with her and showed her some artifacts of his time in a NKorean prison camp with Emmylou’s father. She was visibly moved. It was a wonderful night.

My mistake. I had her confused with Melissa Etheridge.
