In arguably the biggest upset in UFC history, Holly Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia, with a kick to the head in the second round to become the women's bantamweight champion in the main event of UFC 193.
Rousey, who blossomed into a superstar with a series of spectacular finishes, was never in the fight.
A multiple time boxing champion, Holm easily won the first round by picking apart Rousey with her hands. Rousey's coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, said before the bout that he felt Rousey could outbox Holm, but that battle wasn't even close.
What even is this?
Who cares?
Amazing fight.
In the greater scheme of things, there is an energy. That energy can be positive or negative. Rousy’s endorsement of Sanders created negative energy as her natural supporters and fans are of a different political stripe. I am not a boxing fan, but folks like Sean Hannity are. He mentioned the Bernie endorsement on his show on Friday
. I think she got a lot of negative energy, and it may have hurt her
Rousey was going around talking like she could beat men!
Well, in the end, she got whipped by a semi-man' (take a look at 'her' face)
This female fighting is PC garbage!
Go Holly! Local lady and very nice.
From video it appears that Rousey didn’t just lose, she got her butt kicked the entire fight.
I was rooting for my girl but, she wasn’t looking good from the beginning.
That kick to the head was awesome though and she went out like a light. Then Holly got a few more whacks in on a supine sleeping beauty.
Too bad on the one hand. On the other, I suppose Ronda sorely needed to be whacked with a clue by four, if only to inform her that not all fights end up on the ground and you gotta throw effective punches and kicks early and fast.
I look forward to a rematch, even if I felt weird seeing two chicks go at it and watching one beat the snot out of a sldeping beauty who, tuough bleeding, was tired and really needed some undisturbed sleep.
Lights out and look forward to the rematch, which will probably suck.
Commie gets KOd with a kick to the head. Who could not love that?
Kind of like Rocky beating Ivan Drago. :)
With our constantly degenerating culture(Imagine women brutally Fighting!) I wonder if eventually we will have fights to the death?
And lo and behold!
