In addition to ethnic and gender warfare, the Dems are successfully waging generational warfare by directing the ire of young people with dim economic futures towards those (usually older) people who have accumulated wealth.

Juan McCain and Mitt Romney never convinced young people (of any color or gender) that the future would be better with them in the White House; just by lying through his teeth (with the media providing cover), Obama was able to do so (at least in 2008).

Those that DO manage to wean themselves off of technology find that a LOT of people (present company excepted, of course) are assholes they want nothing to do with!

I’m almost 62 and enjoying the happiest days of my life. Actually, not happy. Joyful.

The republicans certainly will not oppose him, why should they start if he decides on staying on.

But if the RINO’s get real gutsy, they’ll file a lawsuit to get him to step down, and the Supreme court will declare the 22nd Amendment unconstitutional they by making him king for life.

I disagree. He will get opposition. He has transformed America but in a different way than he expected. We’re clinging harder to our guns and our God because the mask has slipped.

Today's society takes away the real cause of happiness by making everyone paranoid and selfish trying to protect their's.

Happiness is the direct result of an honest attempt to make someone else happy......being comfortable in your own skin helps.

Sorry, I can’t pin-it-down to a single vs. ‘accumulated wealth’.

For all the fun one might make of the ‘millennials’, Gen A-Z, etc., it’s not hard to see “’Old’ people voted for, the continuation/expansion of...XYZ = younger paying more and more for those benefits = less $$ in pocket = ....”.

And, no, the GOP/RNC have done NOTHING but pay lip service. Bush was vilified for his 2% plan; and the party quickly went back into its shell instead of fight, let alone talk about WHY it should be so (cuz you and I know, if they even brought up the IDEA of the Constitution, that genie might never be back in the bottle again).

I’m all for the wealthy, would love to be one of ‘em someday myself. But, if the party of ‘smaller govt’ (haven’t seen it yet except for voices from 3rd party), it’s not hard to sell the adverse to being Peter in ‘rob Peter to pay for Paul’

I’m between the two groups, and get it from both sides; my retirement age has been pushed up to 67, though (and I don’t doubt that if I saved in a 401K it would be used to lower my SS payments).
