I’ve always thought that by “cured” they actually mean totally under control. I think they use “cured” as a sales word. There could be deception, though, in that people who are “cured” may think, “Oh, I don’t have to stick myself anymore or spend money on medications.”

You're right. I know of some people who thought their diabetes was cured by some diet or supplement, only to have the disease cause severe damage or death.

I know many people have a “hard on” about Big Pharma and are looking to cure their afflictions through some more “natural therapy.” To some extent, I agree with them. It is better not to rely on meds, but to take care of yourself as best you can. Unfortunately, there are some conditions where natural therapies don't work and it becomes necessary to use meds. It can be dangerous to forego meds in favor of these natural methods. People who have diabetes must be wary of these “cures.”
