Marco Rubio's Pro-Amnesty Billionaire Sugar Daddy
Bad Blue ^ | 10/31/2015 | Steve Marcus

Billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Singer endorsed Marco Rubio Friday:

In a letter that Mr. Singer sent to dozens of other donors, Mr. Singer described Mr. Rubio…as the only candidate who can 'navigate this complex primary process, and still be in a position to defeat' Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Amnesty

In 2013, Singer spent millions to enact Marco Rubios amnesty plan (which passed the Senate, but died in the House):

Singer made the donation to the National Immigration Forum. The group has been focusing, in part, on getting support from the business community, faith leaders and law enforcement for the reform effort.

The group has worked with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), a linchpin of the Gang of Eight working on a bipartisan immigration reform package. And the group announced last week that one of its former officials is joining the White House as a Hispanic media adviser.

Israel First

In a fawning article praising Singers work advancing LGBT causes, WaPo noted:

Singer is staunchly pro Israel. He is on the board of the Republican Jewish Coalition, a member of a large American delegation that went to celebrate Israels 60th anniversary in 2008.

Singer is why Rubio could not answer Chris Wallaces simple question:

An Israel firster, Singer supported the Iraq War, and defends the decision to invade to this day:

America finds itself at an early stage of a drawn-out existential struggle with radical strains of pan-national Islamists.

Gay Marriage

Singer began funding same sex marriage after his son came out as gay:

In 2012, he launched the American Unity PAC, which aims to persuade fellow conservatives to support same-sex marriage. He has actively supported same-sex marriage campaigns and makes large donations to LGBT groups.

Alex Conant

Rubio spokesman Alex Conant welcomed Singers endorsement:

We know we have a lot of work to do before Marco wins the nomination, but clearly this moves us in the right direction.

You may recall that in 2013, Conant compared those who oppose amnesty to racist slaveowners:

"The media will ignore Cruz at all costs."

Not a chance, they will continue to vilify him.

Rubio has always been a POS. He’s only in this race so he can amass $$$$ to keep from his campaign funds. Loser.

...remember Dave down at Dave’s used cars is a fast talker, too,...

Good analogy! I’ve never understood how someone who grew up in the Southern US could talk as fast as Rubio. ...I think he’s just trying to get out his memorized, scripted lines as fast as he can before he forgets them. Pitiful.

Do we apply that process the same here:

Interestingly, it is a computer guy with money in ‘high technology’ financial concerns.

Both of them support expanded H1Bs.

I read the guy was interested in conservative causes. Did I miss something in the article, because money spent on wanting that doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Rubio s billionaire is a well known amnesty supporter. His donor is the gope position on steroids, I didn’t see that in your link about Cruz.

Big difference.

Btw, I can’t stand the Cruz position on H visas either.

My problem, Lake, is that Cruz is my favorite. I’ve already donated to him a number of times. However, this billionaire is in the high tech field. That means STEM. STEM is the area that loves H1B visas. I would bet a cup of cyber-coffee that this billionaire wants expanded H1Bs. I can’t prove that.

But I guarantee you that if my choice is Cruz or Jeb, then it’s no contest.

I’m betting the entire construction, service, and agricultural industries covet easy access to cheap workers although for the most part they already have the cheapest workers this economy can provide.

I think you may be painting from too broad a brush. Not all techie owners believe in what you say. I’m in construction and don’t want anything to do with illegal cheap labor, or H 1 visa expansion. I didn’t see anything about the guy that suggested he was any different than you or myself in that regard. He might be, if you find something let me know.

Rubio s guy is all amnesty all the time, a known fact.

I wish Cruz were better about the H1 thing. It upsets me much like it does you.
