From ESPN:METS RETRACING THEIR STEPS FROM 1986 Here's a crazy statistical anomaly that just might give you chills: Through the first three games of this year's World Series, New York's results have mirrored the first three games of the team's 1986 World Series run.
Game 1, 1986 lost by 1, 2915 lost by 1
Game 2, 1986 lost by 6, 2015 lost by 6
Game 3, 1986 won by six, 2015 won by six
It's Halloween, it's spooky, and we have a Series.
Over that past two years the Royals are 158 and 5 if they’re leading after the 7th inning. In the last four games the Royals have come from behind in the 8th to beat the Mets. That’s why the Royals are a World Series winning team and why the Mets are not.
Make that come from behind twice to beat the Mets. It’s early.
Awwww c’mon....more Vames!
Once more tonight and I'll gladly give up seeing them take it all in good ole hometown Kansas City!
We'll paint the town BLUE for the boys in blue when they return.
Thanks for the memories!
Watching our KC Chiefs win over Detroit in Londontown was great also today!
