After getting another attack site warning subsequent to telling Firefox to allow Free Republic, I went to the "Submit Badware" page and attempted to post the below wake up call. The site refused to let me post, saying my Captcha spam filter entry was incorrect a dozen times after I typed it in correctly a dozen times. This attack on Free Republic may be an illegitimate or Google rogue operation and should be looked into.
===== There is NO malware at this site. Take it off your badware list. Your miscategorizing of this conservative news site can be construed as political suppression and will result in an investigation by the same demographic that is suing the IRS for similar types of suppression.
It has not.
The red pages of doom stopped for about an hour ago.
No it has not. I just got a warning “this site may harm your computer”. I do not get such a warning on every page of Freerepublic, just some pages.
I’m using Mac Safari.
Whenever I get such a warning, I do not open the page, no matter what it is. Hackers are all over the place, ready to install malware on all sorts of pages.
You can set Exploder to open new pages on your primary home page. When I start it the two homepages that come up are Bing and FR. I have mine set to Bing because usually I’m going to do a search when I open a new tab.
I agree. I use Internet Explorer and have seen none of the problems being reported.
BTW, I love the daily photos on the Bing page.
And no, I don’t work for Microsoft. ;~)
“It appears the problem has stopped.”
Not for me.
It's happened to me twice today, once just a few minutes ago.

Just happened to me.

Heh, it’s an Aztec Nahuatl tongue twister that translates as “The Madman”, lol! Years ago I devoted some study to Aztec anthropology with an emphasis on their art forms which are quite contemporary and beautiful, although their religious practices were pretty hideous. Go figure...
So do I...BING photos, that is.
I seem to have trouble with the photos on FR getting the red screens. Have yet to get on Kindle.
screw chrome.... went back to explorer and bing search.
Screw Chrome, even with BING as default the issue persist. Went to Explorer/Edge and BING search
It appears the problem has stopped
I just got one less than a minute ago.
I got the warning message for the first time this morning but only once. Something nefarious is at hand.....
Just got it again while posting to this thread.
