Play Ball
Lets Go Mets!
Ya gotta believe.
Gotta go American League here. Royals, but it will take extra innings in the seventh game.

I’m picking KC, but look at the Mets pitchers: Colon, Harvey, Degrom, Syndergard, Matz. Good luck scoring against that.
panem et circenses
I’m a big NY Baseball fan. Cept I don’t have a horse in this race. The Mets have a great team and a great organization. My team’s great organization died in 2010 with ‘The Boss’.
I’m not (nor will I ever) root for the Mets. I can only say may the best team win... And I have a feeling it will be the Mets. KC is perennial losers.
Mets pitching will rule.
I cannot wait to see the baby Ventura bat in game 3. I wonder how he will like being thrown at? Thor would kill his puny arse.
It’s entertaining and it pays for itself. No Roman bread and circuses. There is some government investing in stadiums but the smart teams get big corporations to pay for them and name them after the company. Like Citi Field or Minute Maid Park (formerly Enron field...ahem)
If the Yankees are not in the World Series, it’s really not a World Series.
As for the Cubbies...well, wait until the next century.
Granderson’s 2015 is similar to Agee’s 1969.
The Cubs trounced the Cardinals, the best team in baseball this year. Then the Mets steamrolled the Cubs. If the Mets play against the Royals like they did agianst the Cubs, it will be another sweep.
Let’s Go Mets! Let’s Go Mets!
Regards,
My take: the Mets' pitchers are fine, especially against hitters who swing from the heels. But the Royals deliberately stocked up on contact hitters, which may negate any NY pitching advantage. I suspect that is the fulcrum on which this Series will pivot. If so, KC seems to have the speed, defense, and bullpen, and the home field, advantages--plus last year's World Series experience. I'm a National League fan, so I'm rooting for the Mets; but if I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the Royals.
The Royals have the second best batting average in the league against power pitchers with fastballs in the mid-90's or above.
If the Mets play the Cubs like they did during the regular season then it'll be a short series. They were what, 0 and 7?
This should be a great series. Mets pitching vs a great KC lineup that just keeps swinging with few strikeouts. I like KC’s approach and I think that the ALCS was a great series.
That was then, they are a different animal now...
