Point him to Minux 3. It is a micro kernal archtiecture that is able to stop and reload defective drivers. Makes for a far more robust Unix like system.

So this kid could supposedly walk into a graduate level physics or engineering class at say MIT or Caltech and teach it? Without ever having been exposed to the subject matter? Sounds improbable. Or does he become familiar with the material first and is then able to teach it? That perhaps is somewhat believable.
I once read that Ray Kurzweil aced various physics and math exams at MIT by skimming borrowed textbooks the night before, having never attended the lectures. Or something like that. So I guess that level of intelligence and retention is possible.
