Apparently "God hates Canada," and that's something members of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church believe the Blue Jays might want to know.
The gay-bashing church group, infamous for its vile protests of soldier funerals, plans to protest the Blue Jays game in Kansas City.
Members want to let us "depraved Canadians" know we're doomed for giving our country over to "sodomite filth," and so on and so forth, according to a statement.
It's a rare opportunity for the merry band of raging haters.
The church is based not far away, in Topeka, Kan. And since Canada has denied Westboro members the opportunity to protest north of the border, screaming at our baseball players is as close as they can get.
"How in God's name can you 'he men' baseball players -- known for your physical prowess -- stand by like a bunch of sissies in the face of what God calls an 'abomination,'" the group posted online, referring to our same-sex marriage laws.
Ironically, the son of the now-deceased founder of the church, Fred Phelps, lives in Calgary. He fled his father's group of bigots when he was 18 years old.
Whatever.
I figured that cult would have folded up after Phelps died.
Al Gore bundler, “congregation” is mostly just his extended family, not associated with any real baptist church.
If he theoretically doesn’t like gays, how come he never protests gays? His protests are always calculated to annoy and offend patriotic Americans. Isn’t that strange?
They should take on ISIS and insult them. That would be fun.
I’m highly suspicious that the “Westboro Baptist Church” is actually a leftist-run Psy-Op program.
Good Point Pops!!!

All your baptists belongs to us.
Must be time for their fall fundraiser.
Not a great way to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Moments ago I got a text from my friend in Canada telling me about this. He said that he could think of no greater ringing endorsement of how awesome Canada must be. lol
Their mode of operation is to say provocative things in the hope that someone will over-react. Then Westboro sues, claiming their civil rights have been violated.
They are DNC-Front.
I would never presume to speak for the Almighty.
Bingo!
I'm sure they don't speak for Him.
It seems to me that every time they pull this, they commit a sin far worse than taking His name in vain.

Like maple syrup, Canada’s evil oozes over the United States.
Think of your children pledging allegiance to the maple leaf. Mayonnaise on everything. Winter 11 months of the year. Anne Murray - all day, every day.......
